Jim Johnson, Jim Clark, and Steve Coffee lend banjo, guitar, Irish bouzouki, harmonica, accordion, and rich vocal harmonies to their unique blend of original ballads. Back from their Central American tour, the Jims blogged their way on chicken buses through Guatemala. Since then they returned to Guatemala and have hit the Cayamo circuit, returning with the tallest of tales.

Jim Johnson's The Pride of the White Star Line was a Finalist in the Folk category and Now It Won't Be Long was recognized in the Country category of the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. Check out these and other cuts on his solo CD Horseshoes and Hand Grenades. Miss Mouse is my favorite banjo tune!

When not doing taxes and traveling off to distant lands, Jim Clark lends his vocal harmonies and deft guitar work to the group. Listen for his original I Saw Her.

Steve Coffee also was recognized by the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, one for the poignant Guantanamo. A must-listen! These cuts can be found on their recently released "Didn't Come To Stay Long" CD.

What to say about the infamous Ron Goad. Quick with a pun or a word of encouragement, Ron is ubiquitous on the local music scene. "Ron's Upstairs at the Firehouse Grill" instantly became the hot new venue for local talent. Next, Bangkok Blues, The Athenaeum, Austin Grill, Brewer's Alley. Who can keep up. And the double Wammie-winning musical supporter runs the "best open mic in the DC area," according to the Washington Post. This cool scene could only be masterminded by the Goad-Man, or Goad-Meister, for whom many a musician has a word or two of gratitude, and will gladly accept the honor of playing with the promiscuous percussionist himself!
